FMIL wedding dress/cleaner suggestions

Hello Girls!

SOOOO I was thinking of wearing my FMIL wedding dress from 1973 for the ceremony. She had 3 boys and always wanted to have a girl but didn't. So, I want to do something special for her and wear her dress. The problem is that it has a couple of stains and I would like to know if anyone can recommend a cleaner I can take it to that won't charge me an arm and a leg because it's a wedding dress. Somewhere in Queens or Nassau County Area.

TIA,
many blessings

Hi Mitzi, I'm sorry that I don't have a suggestion for you but I would think any reputable dry cleaner would be able to do it.
As for price..you are saving on buying a dress so the cost of cleaning it is comparable. Just be sure to ask them if they are certain they could get the stains out because remember they have been set in for 35 years.
Good luck.

Thanks! I think I will just take it to my regular cleaners then. Well, I do plan to alter it as-well but only if I can remove the stains. Oh yeah, the most important detail is if she gives me permission to alter her dress.

I think she will be thrilled and honored to have you wear it. It is such a sweet gesture.

Good luck!
