So my FMIL called yesterday and says that she wanted to have a Mariachi band come and play during the reception. Although we love the idea, CH we have something different setup and we do not want to cut into the reception.
So FH told her, don't worry about it you don't have to help!!!
She really wants to help, and I definitely know where she can help, but how can we approach her now and tell her where we need help?

Re: FMIL's offer
You could say something like 'While the Mariachi band won't work for us, if you still want to help out we could really use help with _______'

Re: FMIL's offer
considering he already told her no thanks... i would say 'we wanted to thank you for offering to get us the mariachi band... if you are still interested in helping we have other areas that we could use your help'... make her feel like you do want her help
