Should my dad's tux be the same as the groomsmens' tuxes?
Pics of what past brides did are greatly appreciated!

Re: FOB tux
my dad owns his own tux....he bought for my sisters wedding in jan. he figured that it would be cheaper to buy one tux...rather than rent 2. He also bought a vest/tie to match each of my mother's gowns....so the tus will be different from the men in the bridal party

My dad did not match the GM or FIL at all.

Re: FOB tux
My dad will be in a plain black tux, similar to the one my FFIL will wear. They will not match the guys at all.

Re: FOB tux
I think the only instance where a father of the groom NEEDS to match the groomsmen is if it is an ulra formal wedding. Otherwise he can use his own if he owns one or he can do something coordinating. I like when an FOB stands on his own though - just a preference.

Re: FOB tux
My dad owns his own tux so he wore that and rented the vest/tie combo that I wanted him to wear. All the Dads (mine, DH's dad and stepdad) all wore the same vest/tie - black on black paisley. The GM wore a different vest and tie.
Here is a picture of my Dad, bridal party, and my DH.
