FOCCUS

OMG i got a letter in the mail today on 1/11 at 8:00 we are going to take our Foccus test. Now i just have to found the paperwork for the pre-cana that we are scheduled for. Im so nervous!!!!!

we did that in Oct. it's not bad - some of the questions were a little weird but it wasn't bad at all. Dont worry!!

kabo, did your priest say it was a requirement to do the FOCCUS?

My priest last night said he just 'recommended' it since we had so much time before the wedding and it would be a good tool.

I thought you had to do that AND Pre-Cana, but last night we just filled out the paperwork to be contacted for Pre-Cana.

I'm confoozed......

I think it's like a scantron test that you and FH take separately and then you talk with a couple from the church to go over your answers.

I'm under the impression it's more a 'compatability' test than seeing how you deal with things in real life. But I could be wrong. The priest I spoke to last night just glanced over it and said they offer it throught the Diocese, but didn't say they offered it in the parish.

We were required to in my church but my friend & wife were told it was their choice.

you wont have to do it tom. they will send you a letter in the mail for the next one and then you may have to take that onee. Good luck, and dont worry about seeing the priest. Ours went wonderful and we love the priest so much that we want him to marry us!!
