FOCCUS

Ughhh I just got the paperwork and we have our meeting on Friday! What should I expect?

Its not too bad..there's like 150 questions. You and FH answer them alone. THe worst is talking about your answers. They compare your answers to what the church thinks you should say.

We took ours online... and I told FH we 'failed' marriage... he laughed. We won't get our scores until November when we go to pre-cana.

Do you have to go through this if you arent getting married in a church? FH and I are different religions so I am clueless.

All of the questions belong to a certain type of theme, ie: career, religion, sex, drugs/alcohol, family, etc. and they mix the questions up. You have to say if you agree or disagree with each statement. When they go over it with you, they go over the questions when either you or FH answered differently from each other AND when you answered differently from the 'correct church' answer. It was a little annoying.

We just went Tuesday to answer the questions. I personally didn't think it was that bad. (I actually like doing stuff like that). My FH I think was a little nervous, but I think he was fine. We are supposed to get a call in 3-4 weeks to meet with a mentor cople to go over what we disgareed on. In all honesty, there were some questions that you pretty much know what the church wants you to say so you really can out anything down.

We have to do our FOCCUS online and them we will discuss at pre-cana in October.

It wasn't bad. We did FOCCUS in Florida and down here they make it 3 sessions long. The 150 questions is really like 20 questions, asked 7 different ways to confuse you lol. FH and I did really well on agreeing on most things.
