FOCCUS

We have FOCCUS next Monday... Anyone who has done it already what can I expect?

I did it and it was just a multiple choice 'test'. You just answer questions about communication, faith, sexuality, etc. It was like a scantron and then we got our answers back to compare. It broke it down where we differed in order for us to discuss those topics. I actually found it informative and it sparked good conversation between us.

FH & I never talked about finances and how we're going to share control over major decisions (uh, duh, I get control...j/k!) and it was really good to get us to open up.
The test wasn't written by church people, it was written by marriage counselors...at least, that's what our deacon told us.

Its a test with like 100 questions (or maybe more, I forgot) that you answer 'yes' 'no' or 'unsure' and you and your FH have to compare answers. On the topics that you disagree on or are unsure about, they (the church counselors) try to get you to discuss with each other.
