FOCCUS TEST!!!!!

FH and I took the FOCCUS in early spring. They finally called us last week to get us together and discuss our results. I have been playing phone tag with the lady. Finally, we are set for this Thursday. I asked her if we did good. She said we are fine. Whew! I was so nervous thinking we 'failed'. But she said we are going to speak about the questions that we marked 'uncertain' and very few ones were marked that and we are going to discuss those as well. We will see what happens.

We took ours a few weeks ago and were laughing through the entire thing. FH thinks I watch too much tv so he marked it on the test and I hate FH motorcycle because he just crashed a few days before so i marked that on the test so im sure we will have to discuss these things.

Yeah, what is that I've never heard of it?

The test is given by some churches. It's kind of like a compatability test. Well, more so like a test of 150 questions that they ask you and FH. You answer yes, no or uncertain. They grade you based on if these answers match up or not. If not, that means those are topics you and FH never really discussed. It's just a way to make sure you guys have discussed issues that arise in marriages.

So you have to do it through a facillitator - I saw it is about $125 online some places but I found 10 sample questions. You are supposed to mark them Agree/Disagree/Uncertain

good for you!!

i work for Telecare, the religious TV station for the catholic church and i had a guest on about FOCCUS.

you can't really 'fail' its just a tool for you to see how well you communication and to open the conversation up on things you may not have spoken about. my sister had a really good experience with it and it was interesting to see how many things you are on the same page about and vice versa.

FH & I are going for our foccus test results on Tuesday! After we took the test we talked about the test and what we answered......I'm excited to get our results.

we went over out test last month. it was actually really funny. the couple we went over it with was nice but it was a lil awkward. the church asks a lot of questions i never thought to talk about and then some that I thought really crosses the line

I bet you guys can find books with questions just like the FOCCUS questions. I would search the web.
