followup to purse post --- HELP! (with pix)

My sis found a metallic silver purse she prefers, but I'm not too sure -- I don't really think it looks elegant and seems more like a clubbing purse to me. I told her she's the MOH, and if she prefers the metallic silver I will get her that one instead because I want her to be able to reuse it after the wedding. I'd probably get the satin purse for the other girls, although I'm not definite on anything yet.

Thoughts? Is the metallic too much with the taffeta dress? Is it elegant? Do you like it better than the satin? What would you do? They are basically equal in price

I would go with what they like better.. I don't think it will be a noticeable difference.

Personally, I prefer the first one. But, that's nice of you to get her the one she prefers!

I think the satin is much more appropriate.

get her the one she likes better.....

in reality, there won't be many (if ANY) pics of the girls and their purses.....so let it be...

just my 2 cents!

i agree... so what do i do?

she originally liked the satin one but said she liked this one better. i guess i will talk to her again, tell her again that i prefer the satin and think it is more wedding appropriate but in the end i will go with what she wants because id rather have her get something she will use...

Do you mind if they dont match- maybe get her the one she likes & the other girls the other one- like someone mentioned, you probably wont see it in any pictures

OK.... hahaha I'm glad to see that everyone overwhelmingly agrees with me that the satin purse is better. I might offer to get her both, and she can use the satin one for the wedding.

I def agree the first one looks more appropriate and goes better with the dress...but I was just a BM and no one EVER saw our purses. We kept them in the bridal suite or on our table...it's not like she's walking down the aisle with it..

If she likes it better and she's your MOH, get her that one and get the other girls the one you like!

I agree! Get what they would like, you'll never see pics of it!

i like the metallic one and it shines like taffeta, so i say go for it

The satin is probably considered more appropriate and I agree that no one is going to see it so would probably go with the one she wants because of it.
