Food

I am having desi food at the wedding, but I am little concerned about providing food for my Non-Desi co-workers and friends. Some of them have had Desi food before and are accustomed to the taste, but many are not familiar with our food. So the big question:

Should I have at least one or two dishes at the buffet that they would consider eating or should I just have the Desi buffet and hope for the best? I'm open to suggestions...

Re: Food

'Desi food' refers to Indian food like rice, curry, dhal, dosa, idli, roti, chappati, etc. I think Pakistanis and people from Bangladesh consider desi food as their traditional authentic cuisine.

To answer your question, speak to your catering hall banquet manager to see what choices for food they offer you and also find out what percentage of people are not familiar with this food.

If it's just some of your co-workers, consider recommending a good restaurant where they serve desi food and see what they think of it. But if more than 75% of your guests are expecting the desi banquet, I wouldn't eliminate it.
