Food as Favor....

OK.... most of wedding guests are from metro NY area(my side). FI family is scattered all over the midwest. Our mutual friends all work in the airlines, so they're scattered too.

The one bit of NY that I aleays get when I get in town is a black n white cookie. The REAL kind - where it's like 2 in thick, totally cakey. I love them. Fi loves them.

My mom feels that because there will be so many NYers there, they won't care about getting black and white cookies.... that we should do something a little more elegant, like truffles (hell - truffles are fine).

Being NYers..... would you be happy or disappointed with getting a big ole B&W?

I was at a wedding a couple of weekends ago (in the city) and they gave out individually wrapped big B&W cookies on the way out. Most of the guests were from NY, but lemme tell ya - everyone still LOVED them!!

Um, that's such a great treat! My company gives them out every year at the Christmas party, and it's always welcome! It's not something I eat everyday, so I say go for it!

I'm doing little wedding cake sugar cookies and tons of people have already commented that an edible yummy favor is so nice! go for it
