Hi brides! I am about to book my venue and I am tossing between locations. I am stoked on booking at the Inn at New Hyde Park but I wasn't sure how the food tasted. I've read reviews online and on YELP that were very mixed. One of my fiancé’s main requests is to find a place with great food. Needless to say, I am becoming concerned based on the reviews I have read. Has anyone attended a wedding there recently? I would really love to hear your feed back. Much Appreciated.

I was one of the people who wrote a bad review on yelp! They were impossible to schedule an appointment with, when I got there they had no idea that we had an appointment, and then they told us that they had no Sunday dates in June 2015. The owner responded to my yelp review saying they did have Sunday dates, and it was a mistake. Ugh, they just left such a bad taste for me! I have other friends who said they do a good wedding which is why we went to look. I didn't go so far as to even get quotes.
One of my friends' brothers is getting married there in August 2015 and he was able to get a Sunday twilight wedding there. Another friend had looked there and was told they don't do Sunday twilight weddings. It seems like they're sort of disorganized and that it totally depends who you talk to what kind of answer you get!

If you are worried about the food I would definitely recommend contacting them about possibly doing a food tasting before you book. That way you can decide whether it's what you are looking for or not

I havent had that experience at all, completely opposite! i love them my sales rep answers every email and ever call he calls back. they do do food tastings but only after you book and closer to the wedding. I booked in april 2014 for a july 2015 wedding. i cant wait that place just is stunning inside and out.

I got married at the Inn in December. Everything was beautiful and the food was delicious. You have a tasting and can choose what you like and make any changes you want. We re-worked half the menu and they didn't bat and eye, they were great!
If you go, ask for Katie or Janine, they were amazing to work with.

My quick response to this thread is that the main owner passed away last year so a lot has been changed and taken over. I've been in their restaurant and their food is AMAZING...also a great way for you to taste things... my parents also went to a wedding there last year and they loved it they said the food was outstanding
