food is super important

hi all, i've started to look at venues for Jan 2015. #1 is food. the boy wants to make sure it's really really good. please let me know what you all think. thanks.

Try Bridgeview Yacht Club. The food was fantastic, and they offer tstings before you book.
January is considered 'off peak' so you will get good pricing as well. Ask for Samantha, she is amazing!

milleridge cottage- food and one wedding at a time were our two favorite things... the one thing I didn't want was 'wedding chicken' or 'wedding steak' lol- I wanted our wedding food to taste like restaurant quality so that's why we went with the milleridge cottage... The minimum is 150 people though, so if you plan on having over that amount then I would definitely check them out!

The Historical Thatched Cottage. Our wedding was 10/13 and everytime I see someone they rave about how amazing the food was at the wedding. AND they do a tasting before you book! (Plus they have an in house pastry chef - our cake was literally the best cake I've EVER had).

Flowerfield known for food!!!

I'm not getting married there, but Flowerfield has the best wedding food I've ever had.

Also, Russo's on the Bay if you like Italian.

Bridgeview Yacht Club or Russos on the Bay. Both are head and shoulders above any other wedding food we have ever had (I am from a picky Italian family who loves food and these are the only two places to get A+++ from us)

Absolutely positively 1000000% Flowerfield!! My wedding food was some of the best food I've ever had and the service is beyond anything you can imagine! Everything about Flowerfield will blow your mind!

Food was incredibly important to FH and I as well (Italian and Jewish families...lol). I would recommend checking out Thatched Cottage. The owner is a chef. They let you do a tasting BEFORE you book which most venues don't. I was blown away by how good everything was! Plus, they included the most amount of food in cocktail hour and reception than any other place I checked out. It's one wedding at a time too, which for me was a big plus!
