Will this hurt the baby if I'm breastfeeding? I think I got it last night from eating Taco Bell. You know, I will never eat it again. My DH and mom got it from Taco Bell at some point. I ate it and like 1.5-2hours later I felt soooo nauseous. I ended up getting sick all night. It was horrible. It's even worse trying to take care of a crying baby at the same time! I was just wondering if it affects the baby? I didn't think it was food poisoning at first, so I was feeding him? I am so worried now!

Im not sure about hurting the baby. But food poisoning usually HAPPENS RIGHT AFTER U EAT.

True food poisoning is pretty serious and you probably just have a 'sick' belly. I don't think that an upset stomach would hurt the baby but not sure about real, diagnosed food poising. I would call the doctor and ask.

According to webmd.com you should call the doctor if you are pregnant and you get food poisoning so I would say the same applies when you are breastfeeding.
And signs food poisoning can take hours and sometimes days. It does not have to be right after you eat.
