Why do some vendors not give a food taste before booking. What if the food taste like crap and your stuck in the contract?

I think it is crazy as well, I jave gone to alot of places that let you, some don't at all you have to go to there resturant and others do it after booking. The way I see it the ones that let you do it before are desprate for your business, the ones with resturants want you to spend more money and for the ones that don't let you til you book are confidant. I don't know but, here is something to throw at you 1- The cook may not be the one doing your wedding that did the taste testing for you 2- you don't get to taste everything you want on your menu, so somethings you'll still worry about. After hearing myself I'll probably be the one that ends up with bad food!!!

I know where I work we let them go to the Restaurant because it is the same chef doing the cookings. Its true that most things from the menu are not on the wedding menu but it gives a taste of that we can do.
After we book then they can do a tasting with the food off the wedding menu.
Personally I would want to try the food off the wedding menu not the Restaurant food. But I cant change the policies here.

most places do, cause they sometmes have BS but there not for a few months and if ur like me u can't wait and u want ur hall bookEd!
