Food tasting

When is recommended do this? We;re getting married at JT and I know they said we could have a food tasting but I was wondering when we should go and how eloborate of a good tasting it is since i know some places don't even offer it anymore.

I think it really depends on your RH. My friend had her tasting right after she signed her contract (for an RH in NJ). I know some places do a tasting in the few weeks preceding the wedding. We are doing our tasting about 3.5 months before the wedding, but this is more a combination of us having free time that coincides with a night on a saturday that the caterer does not have a wedding already scheduled.

I think it depends on the RH. Before we booked at East Wind we were thinking of having it at Timber Point and they did a food tasting before booking. We brought both sets of parents so there were 6 of us. They brought us three of the entree choices. there was one chicken, one beef and one fish. It was very good but then we went to East Wind and fell in love. I would call your RH and see what they say about food tasting.

It definitely depends on the reception hall, call them, tell them you want to schedule a tasting and go from there, they should be accommodating.
