We had our food tasting today at Flowerfield! It was awesome! Can't wait!!!

What did you get to try? We have ours with Land's End in April and I want to get an idea of how many things they give you to try. Did they also have different cake options?

Hi - they did a great job! They gave us three of the apps to try (party salad, shrimp, cognac lasagna (that was AMAZING!). They also brought out the combo courses to try. Then five entrees came out (steak, fish, pork chop, shrimp and scallops, chicken). They serve everything as it would come plated at the wedding. So we all took a piece of everything so we can try it all! They also served wine if you wanted it.
For dessert, they had the apple strudel station set up. Then they served three different types of cake from Audreys (red velvet, chocolate w/whipped cream, and a vanilla cake with fruit preserve filling and a layer of chocolate filling) the RV and choc were amazing!
They had three tables set up in the front they way they would have them set up at the wedding so you can see the oval, round and square tables with the different linens.
It was a great time! Enjoy yours!!

Really? There were Oct brides there yesterday. Im sure they do more tastings throughout the year though.
It was great! Im making some changes because some of the food they fancy up a little too much - like the steak was amazing but they had this gorgonzola cheese sauce that I didnt like so I asked if I can have that without if we went with that entree. They are VERY accommodating.

i went last weekend and that cognac lasagna was delish along with the Chicken Oscar....funny that neither are on the menu to pick as final choices but i'm going for them

at my tasting they served a bourbon chicken and it wasnt on our final menu to choose either. we had to ask for it

I was told that they try new dishes at the tasting and that you have the option to choose those as well in your final menu. I can't wait!

Hi, I had my food tasting at the thatched cottage about a month and a half ago and the food was delicious. They give you so much food that by the end you are completely stuffed. Also, they have their own champagne that they make and import and it was to die for. Hope you have fun. Let me know how it goes!!! Congrats!!!!
