For a November wedding, can I order my dress by...

My wedding is next November,...will I have enough time if I order my dress by March or April?

The only reason I want to wait that long is because I'm having spine surgery at the end of January, and I'll be out of commission for about a month after. So I'm think March or early April the latest is when I'd order my dress (that's about 6 months before the weding).

Or should I find something soon and order before my surgery?

Also, if I'm not going to be very mobile in winter, I expect to gain some weight after the surgery, but I should be able to exercise regularly by the summer...so what about the size of the dress.

Any advice? Thanks!

They say you should give yourself 7/8 months just to be safe, but usually they come in less than 5. As long as you give them the wedding date and everything, you should be fine.

I would say that's early April is the absolute latest you want to order your dress. You'll need time for alterations.

Did you find the dress that you will be wearing? I would search for the dress now, and once you find it ask the store how long till it comes in and go from there
