For all current Mrs.'s

Reflecting back on your wedding, what is something you wished you had included or spend more $$$ on?

What is something you spend a lot of $$$ on that you feel you could have either gone cheaper or done without?

Could have done without my over the top expensive veil.

Everything else was worth every penny.

i would have spent more money on myself. i would have taken better care of myself. it was a piece of advice i got here, and i didn't really listen.

i would have spent more money on pampering myself and relaxing before the wedding

I should have spent less (or made less) programs, cry packs and ribbon wands. Although they added a nice touch, for a half hour ceremony it wasn't necessary.
I also spent waaaaay too much on limos. Its really not worth it.
I would have spent more on my invitations since I really wanted the pocketfold, but because of price decided against it. I also would have gone with my first choice in catering halls. Again, because of price I chose my second choice instead of my first.

Should have spent more money on a dress. You only get to wear it once, might as well do it up!

Should have spent less on BM gifts and other extras - they didn't really appreciate it, so why did I spend so much time and money on them?

I would have spent more for an extra photographer...I loved the one I had but I feel like some things got missed because one person can only do so much....

Other than that I'm 100% happy with how I spent every penny

I would have spent money on a make up person.....
I did my own make up.....I did fine, but at least I wouldn't have been stressing over it.

I wish I had spent more money on my photography package, because with all the extra pics I wanted too add to my album it really added up and I had thought I was done spending money on the wedding.

I can tell you I was happy I wore chinese slippers from the dollar store!
I was comfortable!

I was happy that I spent about $40 on my necklace and $20 on my earrings. They were gorgeous!! I cant tell you how many compliments I got on my necklace!

I was happy I bought my dress off the rack! I could never afford a new one and noone even knew or could even tell!

I wish I would have had Table numbers and placecards printed up - I just had NO time left!

If I could I would add an hour or so to cocktail hour because 5 hours is NOT enough!

i would have spent more money on a cardbox. i did it DIY and i had almost 700 guests...the box I made was not sturdy enough and broke at the end of reception. Also I did half high/half low flowers at the florists suggestion b/c with 69 tables she had said it would have looked really crowded with all highs. But Leonard's had spaced the tables well so I wish I had just gone with all highs for a more grand effect!

I had a very expensive wedding and it was worth every dime! [And my paren'ts agree to, since it was their $].
My honeymost costed over $13,000 and never regreted it like my mom thought I would, cause she felt I should have spent the $ of more furniture, ect.
I don't think me nor my parents could have POSSIBLY spent any more $ then we already did, cause we spent ALOTTTTTTTT!!!

Honestly, there is nothing I would have spent more or less on. I maybe would have done 2 less days on my honeymoon, but thats it. Oh, wait.... definately would NOT have stayed at the hotel the night of our wedding. We did, because we thought that is what you are supposed to do, but we could have come home together and it would have been just as nice, just would not have paid for the bridal suite. Definately.

I felt the same way about my necklace. The place I bought my dress tried to sell me a necklace for $180!!! I found the exact one at things remembered, yup, THINGS REMEMBERED, for $40, and it came with matching earings and a nice case.. I didn't even wear the earings it came with, but I got so many compliments on my necklace. So my advice, don't think because its your wedding, you have to spend tons of $$ on the little things just because it is your wedding...and trust me, the bridal salon will use that line constantly...' Well, it is your wedding' that is all i heard.

I am happy to say that I don't regret anything... not wishing I spent more and not wishing I spent less. I think you just have to spend money on what is important to you. We paid for the wedding ourselves and didn't really have a budget - that said we didn't go overboard either. We spent a lot on our wedding - we did well price wise with our vendors but our hall was pretty expensive.

I was happy not to spend a fortune on my veil, we got a great price for our DJ, photographer, videographer, make up person, hair person. At the last minute threw in extra flowers - but was totally worth it. Yup - totally worth it.

I don't regret anything. I carefully researched all of our vendors and was happy with their prices and products. The only thing I would consider spending a little more $$ on is the photographer. I am happy with most of my wedding pictures but sometimes wonder what my pics would look like had we gone with a higher priced place.

Everything else, I either made or purchased with coupons/discounts, so I'm happy with everything else.
