For all of those who told us 2009 brides we have sooo much time....

I made contact with a potential officiant for an interfaith weddign ceremony and they are booked already. This is what I feared hence why we began to book things like RH, hotel accomodations, photo asap. I will have to find someone else now

Oh no! And you're in October (day after my b-day by the way!). I'm worried about the church being booked, even though I have my interview next week . . . I hope they penciled us in!

We really don't have as much time as you think. There are so many other people getting hitched as well.

dont listen to people that say that . Planning far ahead will get you the day you want I booked people too late and had to settle for less than I wanted b/c I thought I had time

that's what i told people- lots of ladies gettingmarried especially on a holiday wknd. at least it was not my RH. So now I am going full steam ahead in looking for the other vendors we need

i ran into that when i tried to snag Duet... they were booked over 2 years in advance. i even thought about changing the date so i could have them. thank god i didnt, since that wouldve been another deposit i lost.

2009 is booking really fast. my co-worker''s sister had to change her spring date to march because she couldn't find a reception hall for '09.

and people scoffed at my long engagement...

I agree, i'd book sooner than later, this way you have a chance at getting what you want rather then having to compromise some vendors, we thought we had a long time and it is flying by!

I am sorry to hear that! I have not had this problem yet. When I called the officiant, he was surprised that I was calling so far in advance! I guess we have to so we can make sure we get the vendors we want.

We still don't even have the 'official' engagement yet... so lets see whats left over when its my turn... ill prob have to ask to borrow cinderellas fairy god mother to whip me up a dress ;)

You are telling the truth......there is a place here that all of March, April, May and June 09 is booked for Saturdays but it wasnt the place that i wanted.....that is why it is important to book your date or continue to call to see if that date is available!
