For all of you who have a loved one in the War.

For all of you who have a loved one in the War.

My cousin who is stationed in Afghanistan sent this to his wife. She is still crying I thought I'd pass it one.

You Can’t Understand….

If you’re not in love with a soldier, you can’t know adventure. You don’t know smelly gray PT uniforms that require a daily washing. You can’t understand green and brown camouflage bags flooding your bedroom floor.

If you’re not in love with a soldier, you can’t understand the meaning of the phrase “going to the field” and the weeks you spend away from each other.

If you’re not in love with a soldier, you can never imagine the hole in your heart when the phone call comes. “ Honey, I am leaving tomorrow to go overseas. I don’t know how long I will be gone or exactly where I am going, but I want you to know that I love you – always!”

If you’re not in love with a soldier, you don’t know what it’s like to say that final good-bye. You don’t know what it really means to be glued to the television. You don’t understand fear and you can’t possibly understand the sleepless nights of endless crying wondering if you will ever see the love of your life alive again.

If you’re not in love with a soldier, you can’t know the immense joy, the uncontrollable smile, or the butterflies in your stomach when you see your soldier march into the family waiting area upon redeployment. You can’t understand the self-control it takes to stand on the other side of the room as some higher-up gives a seemingly endless welcome home speech while all the soldiers stand in formation. You don’t know what it’s like to have that second first kiss or what it’s like to experience puppy love all over.

If you’re not in love with a soldier, you can’t truly understand how to make every moment count because you never know when that phone call may come again.

If you’re not in love with a soldier, you can never really understand how delicate life is!

Re: For all of you who have a loved one in the War.

Im not married to a soldier but my Daddy was Navy as was my brother (who served the first gulf war)

I'll admit I am blindly faithful of our military. They do what we don't want to. They know it when they sign up (or they should). My father and brother didnt sign up to be all they could be or to go to college for free, they signed up out of honor for the country they love. Both served with dignity.

I've been the little girl with pigtails waiting for what seemed like forever for my Daddy's ship to come in (literally). I was annoyed that other fathers got off first cause their wives had children while they were out. I once begged my mother to get pregnant so I could see Dad faster.

I believe in this cause and those soldiers out there. They are doing a Good DEED. THats my HONEST belief. I don't think those soldiers out there are committing a crime or hurting people for fun. It's a job and their doing their best. For that I thank them. For the Ba$tards out there killing our folks, there are more of us waiting to come over and prove we won't be intimidated. It's a good deed they do and I think those murders out there are indeed weapons of mass destruction.. because if my father had died or my brother or any of my other male relatives (all serve) I tell you this... to me..that IS a mass destruction - in my life.

One last point on WMD, those zealots out there committing suicide raids and such are WMD, after all a person may not SEEM like a WMD but neither does a Boeing 737 and look what those did in the hands of just 4 zealots each.

*hops off my soap box*
