How did you know when you were ready...?
DH is ready.. why am i so nervous?

BECAUSE IT'S SCARY!!!!

The old adage is true...you are never 'ready'....however, that said, we live in a time where you can take precautions as you think things thru both emotionally and financially to try to opt for a 'good' time to consider an addition.

But either thought through or not...it's a major life-altering change! And that is scary!

what are you nervous about? is it the idea of handling a newborn that will be new to you? or just the impact of a baby on your lives?

I think theres no specific point where we are 'totally ready' Parenthood is new to everyone, even when you think youre ready, its full of challenges, but so worth the rewards.

IMO- you know when you are ready to become a parent. Of course, everyone has fears and is nervous over a variety of issues but in your heart you know that you are ready to begin the journey.
Do you have some specific goals that you would like to accomplish prior to having a baby? or Maybe you are considered about jungling work and family. You and your DH should sit down on night, have a nice dinner and really discuss what you are feeling.
Never rush into it because of other people's feelings. While there is never the perfect time, enough money, etc... being a mom is a lifetime committment and you need to want to begin that for you, not for other people.

It is not about the money and how children will change our lives....I think it is the whole idea of being pregnant.. I am nervous and excited all at the same time...I want to move on and have kids...
