for anyone thinking about getting a dog- mine saved my life

On tues april 12th Reggie saved me and my unborn babies life. He started barking at the window while I was watching american idol last tues. I went over to see what he was barking at- btw this bark was different sound from his regular barks, turns out it was the smell of smoke, there was a fire outside and it was headed straight for my co- op. I grabbed my dog and ran out the door. Turned out into a pretty big fire in my complex. We managed to escape unharmed but It ruined most of my place, Reggie saved me and my unborn babies life that night Because I didnt smell the fire becuase the window was closed.

OMG! Well I am so glad you are safe and I guess Reggie will be getting extra special treatment.

OMG that is wonderful to hear!! Good Job Reggie!!!

I'm glad you are looking on the bright side and seeing the positive after what you have been through!!

This should send us all a message not to ignore our dogs every time they bark.

How terrible, but amazing! Good ol' Reggie. So glad everyone is now safe.

Do you happen to live in Syosset? I saw something on C12 news last week about a fire in a complex there...

He truly is a hero. My father's cat saved us in the same situation while we were all asleep many years ago. She kept meowing (and she is far from a cryer) until I woke up and I smelled the smoke and woke up my mother and brother. The store next to us was burning. I truly believe things would have turned out different if Sofie wasn't meowing so loudly.
