My aunt just called me and very generously offered FH and I a week off her time share for our honeymoon in aug. We can pick anywhere we want just have to cover food and discounted airfare. How does it work will it really save us money to do this instead of the all inclusive. TIA

Re: ? for anyone using a timeshare for Honeymoon
yes, im using one you only pay 100.00 dollars a week for it depending on where you go, my mom gave me the same thing and her time share is with the Marriott and the rooms are great

I agree. We are using my parents time share as well. It is costing us $250.00. There is a transfer fee to transfer the week from their timeshare in Virginia to St. Martin for the week and an $85.00 guest pass (this is so that you can register when you get there instead of the person who owns it). That's all we have to pay. (well, plus airfare, but that would be either way). We figure no matter what there will be food, spending money, etc. It is totally worth it!!!

We are using my MOH's timeshare in CAbo for the first week and just paying the maintenence ($500). Then we are staying at an ultra expensive hotel the 2nd week so staying at the timeshare is allowing us to extend our trip!
