Here are some questions I have...... Are you taking pics with your FH before or after ceremony? Do most of the Rh's decorate it without extra cost and do isle runner? Do they let you come before ceremony and take pictures there? Thanks gals!!!

Re: For brides that r getting married at RH
I am getting married at the Fox Hollow.
We decided to see each other before the wedding, this way we could go to our cocktail hour. Most places won't let you have time inbetween ceremony and CH because there is nowhere for your guests to go.
Fox Hollow included decorations (real flowers which are gorgeous) in the cost to have the ceremony there - it was a small fee, a lot less than I have heard people pay to churches.
I would be careful if you haven't already picked a RH - our wedding is in the winter so we are counting on indoor photos (but you should always have a spot for indoor photos in case of rain) - a lot of halls don't have a really nice area inside for photos. Fox Hollow has a photo studio just for this reason. We visited some places who only had the main entrance for indoor photos (which would be crowded if the guests had started to arrive).

Re: For brides that r getting married at RH
I got married at the North Ritz Club.
I saw DH before the ceremony for pictures. We had a 12:30 pm ceremony and we were allowed to get there at 10:00 am for pictures. However, if you are the first or only wedding of the day they might not let you get there early. Our reception ended at 6:00 p.m. I think there was another wedding at 6:30 or 7:00 - I don't see how that couple could have gotten there early for pictures.
We paid an extra $200 for the ceremony flowers and decorations. They did an aisle runner - 6 pedestals along the aisle (3 on each side) with flowers on top of the pedestals, and flowers decorating the gazebo.

My hall is setting up aisle runner, letting us come the night before to decorate (they do not decorate, but will set up candles, favors and placecards) I am seeing FH before the ceremony (don't want to miss the CH!) and we ar going early to take pics, on the golf course, of course

we are taking pics before the ceremony. we want to be at as much of the wedding as possible.
My RH does not include any ceremony decorations (except for the arch). Aisle runner is not included.
Yes my ceremony starts at 7 and they said they could let me in about 5:30ish to take pictures if i needed to (but i wont..ill be taking pictures at a nearby park).

I have to ditto on everything you said minus the time of year of the wedding…we’re having ours at the Fox Hollow n the summer, but it’s been so comforting to know that there’s an indoor area not only for the ceremony but for photos in case of bad weather.

We're at The Miller Place Inn, yes we're taking pictures before, yes they will be taken there. They told us we can show up anytime we want that day, we'll have the place all day. When we first went thereto look at it, there was a wedding party doing their pictures (it was about 11am). I don't know what most places do, but MPI has a stone bridge leading to a gazebo. We won't be walking down an aisle, so to speak. It's a really pretty garden area surrounded by trees, so he told us not to spend money on the 20 minutes at dusk everyone would be out there - seasonal flowers are planted already.

I'm getting married in Westchester, however, they are not providing any ceremony decorations. I have to provide all of them. I can come about an hour early to take pictures if I want (there is a day event going on that day)

Re: For brides that r getting married at RH
We got married at Stonebridge Country Club. We were booked for the whole day, so we were able to show up and take pics beforehand. However, DH and I didn't want to see each other until the ceremony so we took our pics together after that. We were able to go the night before (at our rehearsal) and decorate the arch for our ceremony, then I gave them the runner and they put it out along with the rose petals before the processional.

Re: For brides that r getting married at RH
I got married at my RH. The grounds there are so beautiful there are fantastic places to take pictures. I wrestled with seeing DH before and am so glad we did - we had our big moment of seeing each other and I was glad to get the pictures out of the way so I could enjoy the CH and reception. Plus, I was walking down the aisle by myself so I wasn't as nervous having seen DH before hand.
Good Luck!
Also, there is only one event per day so we had access to the full grounds the entire day.

we took pics before the ceremony
to have our ceremony there it cost an add'l $500 and that included all flowers and the aisle runner
and we arrived 2 hours before the ceremony for pictures. but that was because we were a daytime wedding and were the first ones there that day.

I got married at Crest Hollow Country Club.
We took photos before the ceremony. CHCC allows you to be on site up to three hours before your ceremony.
The ceremony took place on the outside patio in the back. The gazebos were already decorated with flowers and there are topiaries lining the aisle. In fact, all of the florists we spoke to said that CHCC does a sufficient enough job with the decorations that it's not necessary to have ceremony flowers unless the couple feels strongly that they want more.
CHCC doesn't provide an aisle runner; it wasn't necessary as the patio was immaculate. We bought one at the last minute b/c it was predicted to rain and wanted to use it in case the ground was wet. It didn't rain and we didn't use it.

We're getting married at Flowerfield. We are the only wedding the entire day so they said we had access for pictures and the rehearsal the morning of the wedding. The ceremony starts at 2:30, the hospitality starts at 2pm. We are taking pics before and we had to pay for our own decorations. They provide an aisle runner which is really an ivory carpet. HTH

Re: For brides that r getting married at RH
I am getting married at Brentwood Country Club. They have a beautiful gazebo where our ceremony will be held - and an indoor area in case we need it. I love the grounds there including the golf course. We will be seeing each other before hand and taking pictures then so that we can have lots of time to spend with our guests. I really wanted a church but fell in love with BCC so i made the choice to get married outdoors in the beauty of creation. It's as close to God as we can get.
