For brides who used airbrush m/u

This has been on my mind - I noticed after my trial, i had cracks and fine lines from the m/u - did it happen to any of you guys and did it show up on pics?

Did anyone chose not to use airbrush? Did it look better/worse?

I need some thoughts on this...

Re: For brides who used airbrush m/u

Nope-mine was perfect. There was another thread about this though just recently with someone having a similar problem. I don't know if it's the artist, the type of make-up or whether it's individual body chemistry-but some people have said that their airbrush make-up smudged and was running.

Re: For brides who used airbrush m/u

after about 8-9 hours I had fine cracks in the makeup on my chin.. That was it. i wasn't too concerned though because by that time the party will almost be over. I am going to call my m/u artist just incase and mention it to her.. I'll let you know what she says

Mine was perfect too, and stayed on all day. I was very happy with it.

I'm getting my trial this Thursday... I want to do 1/2 regular m/u and 1/2 airbrush, so I'll let you know how it goes. I plan on leaving it on all night and all day Friday (I have the day off Friday so I'll keep it on as long as it lasts... nasty, but it's just a test)

No, it didn't happen to me- I wore it for 6 hours after I had it done and it still looked good.

The thing is - it looked great in the pictures, and like someone said - by the time the lines come out, the party will be over....

mine lasted up to 8+ hours w/out any cracks....i would recm'd putting or asking for your artist to apply some moisturizer to keep your skin moist (hate that word!)

Re: For brides who used airbrush m/u

I was told that your skin can't have ANYTHING on it before airbrushing -- no moisturizer, nothing... or else it won't 'stick'.... and i was the one who had the 'erasing' problem this weekend...

is that wrong??

Re: For brides who used airbrush m/u

I have very very dry skin so it was 'mandatory' for me. I did let it 'soak' in before it was applied though. Like a good hour.

really? before my trial, the MU artist 'washed' my face and then applied a base cream...the foundation used w/airbrushing is liquid form of the one used w/traditional makeup application - the ingredients are the same, so they would stick no matter what.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong...which I very well may be.

Re: For brides who used airbrush m/u

My airbrush 'cracked' by the end of the night.
I decided to go w/ traditional make-up - actually I think she used mineral make-up.

Re: For brides who used airbrush m/u

Honestly, airbrush or regular foundation, we can't expect miracles. It's not going to last 'forever'.

I think if it last about 7-8+ hours without any retouch it's pretty good.

Re: For brides who used airbrush m/u

For those who used airbrush and it DIDN'T crack -- did you use moisturizer that day or not? This is interesting that diffeent ppl are telling us different things...
