What are you doing for a wedding band? Are you havin something custom made, wearing your rings on seperate hands, or just accepting the fact that there wil be a space? TIA!

Re: For brides with uniquely-shaped e-rings
I have a princess cut center stone and all of the wedding bands didnt fit so I went to Solomon's Jewelers in Plainview on Manetto Hill Rd and the owner Mark helped me design a custom ring...it has all hand carved designs on band with 7 princess cut diamonds around it....cost about $1500 and is amazing. He will make anything for you.......

I have accepted the fact that there will be a space!
i didnt want a curved wedding band bc i want to be able to wear it alone, without the e-ring if i want.
I have a pear shaped e-ring, and I got a round stone eternity band wedding ring.

Same with me. I don't care about the space because I will want to wear my band by itself too, and the curved ones look silly alone.

Re: For brides with uniquely-shaped e-rings
I am going to go to the guy who made my e-ring. But I think that I may wear my e-ring on my right hand so my wedding back doesn't cover up the detail.

We had mine made because the gap bugged me and Its semi antiquey looking so traditional abnds didnt look right. FH picked them out. I soemtimes feel its alot going on on my hand, because I ahve little fingers, but he's so proud of it. -smiles- its cute when they're happy because they're sure they made you happy.

I have to disagree with that. I actually just got my wedding band...and its curved..and I have to say it looks absolutely GORGEOUS alone...everyone says it can def. go without the e-ring....
ETA: here is a pic of my e-ring and band..I guess you kinda can picture it without the e-ring..I think it looks great alone

LOVE your wedding band, I was thinking of getting something like that. The v-shaped rings fit my e-ring fairly well.

Re: For brides with uniquely-shaped e-rings
Millie yours is different b/c your diamonds are more substantial. The center stone is the same size as your side stones. Your set is lovely - I meant the thin little curved ones, I think of them more of as accent bands than independent bands. I have a 3 stone e-ring set very low, and I didn't like the look of the curved band with my setting. That's what would've looked silly. I hope you're not mad, I didn't mean to offend you

I'm wearing my rings on separate hands. I don't like the space and i didn't want to get something made to fit me e-ring b/c then i could never wear the wedding band alone.

Re: For brides with uniquely-shaped e-rings
looks like i will be wearing my rings on separate hands as well..i didnt want to get another setting for my e ring and didnt want to get a ring to be curved to flush against my e ring..so i figured we will just spread the bling from one hand to the other

Oh no..I am not mad. I mean, I got a little offended, but not mad. But I understand what you mean now..I thought you meant that all v-shaped bands look silly alone...but I understand what u are saying. I do hope you find something that suits you and that you enjoy wearing alone..

Re: For brides with uniquely-shaped e-rings
I'm having mine custom made - it will be a 'v' shape as well - and definitely something that I will be able to wear alone.
this is my engagement ring with the wax model of my wedding band (don't have the final one yet)
I used Elsa in Farmingdale. I have a very unique shapped e-ring. It is a princess cut that my husband had turned to look like a diamond shape. I couldn't find a ring to fit and I wanted something that I could wear that looked like it was a set. This is what she came up with. I have attached a picture.
