For girls NOT doing video...

How many photographers do you have?
I know there is always controversy over doing video or not, for us we really just don't want one but we love pictures.

For right now we have 1 photog and assistant all day. I am debating if we should book a 2nd photographer - same company - to make sure we get every picture we want, especially b/c we won't have a video..

Anyone not doing video care to share their photography plan?

I always feel nervous with videographers around, so we are having a friend videograph it subtely. The only stuff I want recorded at the reception is the dad dance/ our dance/cake cutting. I want to relax and have fun at the reception and not worry about what I am doing. I just want to make sure I have the dances down for future....
My sister is doing the pictures as well.

We're not doing video ... (though i will have my Brother just video the ceremony..)

And photog wise, we have one for 9 hours.. honestly, for me (who isn't into photos and video to begin with).. that will be just fine to get all the shots I want.

Re: For girls NOT doing video...

I got married in May and was GUNG HO against video. We had 2 photographers (actually 3 since they brought an additional assistant who took some great shots!) for 10.5 hours and I felt like that should be plenty! We had over 4,000 photos!

But there's something about watching the video and reliving the moment from a different perspective. Honestly, I wish we had gotten video for the ceremony only (I hate them at receptions!! I run away from them and they are always in the bride's face! JMO!). I can't even remember it!

I'm having 2 photographers and no video. My cousin got married last summer and told me she regretted only having one photographer. She felt like there was a lot missed with only one.

We have 2 photogs and 1 assistant I believe. I definitely want to be able to capture as much as possible and i feel with 2 photogs I have a better chance of doing that. Plus if they don't get everything, my photographer friend who is attending the wedding will most likely get the rest for me LOL

We decided against video too. We're having two photographers, then i'll probably just have a family member video the ceremony and a few parts of the reception! We'll have two photographers - J'Adore is a husband wife team!
