If there are 150 people attending a wedding, how much would you tip the Maitre'd if you are also having a DOC?

doc is provided by East Winds and I only meet with her to go over the menu and table settings and things like that. I don't think I'm tipping her at all since she is included in my package and I've been doing the rest of the planning myself.

Thanks, I want to do what is proper, but I know that the DOC does much of the same so I am not sure.

definitely the same. I'd feel bad giving them less $$ since it was my decision to hire a DOC

The range is 3-5 a person for the Maitred
I think we are doing 3 dollars per person since we have the DOC. Its still a generous tip, i think about 430 dollars. Dont forget about the 20% service charge. which for us is about 2600 dollars
Do what you feel is right. These weddings get so expensive and they are making alot of money.
Honestly my FH thoughts are, we are never going to see these people again, so who cares if we dont tip them extremely well, of course we are tipping, but not thousands of dollars.
I think total for tips is 2000 for everyone who gets tips. I think that is very generous

I agree with you completely. It gets so out of hand and I need to balance things out. Thanks so much for the advice.
