For Girls that AREN'T Paying for Their Weddings

if your families or whomever are paying the vast majority of the wedding (not you and FH) - who is paying for your wedding bands (rings)??

my parents and his parents are paying for the majority of the wedding bc they want to within a budget friendly total

we're paying for all the extras, honeymoon, and rings

i think it would be really weird to have someone else pay for your wedding bands

My parents are paying for the reception and FH and I are paying for everything else...which is just about the same price as the reception..LOL

We are buying are own rings.

FHs parents are paying for a majority of the wedding. My Dad paid for our HM and contributed some toward the RH. We're paying for the other things, including the rings, all of the DIY projects, and the extras that we want.

My father paid for the rings. My parents are divorced so they split everything. My father is paying for the 'party' things..flowers,limos,tuxes,invites,favors,photos, video, etc... my mother is paying for the bigger things...The hall, Tips, Food etc...

That was our original plan- but I think my parents will be paying for alot more cause FH and I just can't seem to get ahead. Everytime I turn around there's another holiday, birthday, baby or bridal shower or wedding (we have 4 to go to before our own- 2 require travel and hotel accomidations!)

Anyway- we put all of the deposits down and I am buying invites and all the DIY stuff, and our rings and Honeymoon (which went on dad's credit card- we're giving him the money this week)

Rings are so personal- it would feel weird to have someone else buy them...they are supposed to be a gift to eachother.

That being said- we aren't going crazy at the moment...i'll probably go to tri-county or overstock.com/

Sorry i just posted a novel--i went off on a tangent there..lol

We're splitting the wedding 3 ways.
Of course we are paying for our bands. I think it's like the e-ring. Our responsibility.

My parents are paying for the majority of the wedding.
FH's parents are paying for the limos and gave some money towards the reception.

We are paying for photo/video, DJ, favors, rings and our HM.

my folks are pretty much paying for the whole shabang, but there are a few things FH and I said we'd like to pay for; save the dates, invites, parent albums, flowers and our wedding bands. we just feel that the weddings bands should be our responsibility, more than anything else.

Ok, I voted for me and FH but its mostly me..

Our total was close to $1000 for both bands..he let a $200 dep. and we signed up for the Kay credit card which I pay $65 a mth...FH is currently unemployed so it looks like I'll be making most of the payments...

same here, it is only fair to help at least a little bit! At least thats what we think!
