i didnt have to put any money down i just could only block 20 rooms at a time and once half were full then i could do more....

It depends. At the East Wind they wanted 50% of each room b/c they only have like 40-50 rooms. At the holiday inn out in Riverhead I blocked 10 rooms with no money down.

for my wedding, we used the marriott in uniondale. we told them about how many rooms will be needed. no money was needed. 30 days before the wedding, what rooms that aren't taken, they take it off the block.

I was able to block 20 rooms a night with no monitary obligation if I went over 20 then I would have to put some $$ down but all reservations for our wedding have to be in the month prior to the wedding then they release the rooms to the public...

I blocked 15 rooms at the Inn and had to leave 50%. And 20 at the Best Western with no money down

another east wind bride....you have to put 50% down, normally you just block off rooms and dont have to put anything down.

This is what i was told as well....im debating btw 3 hotels at this point. they also all told me that i cant block rooms out until it was a yr or closer to my wedding...

I blocked 20 rooms at 2 hotels, and didn't have to put any money down. I could have blocked more or less, and can add rooms if necessary.
It all depends on the hotels. Mine are a Radisson and a Hampton Inn.

When I booked mine I had to give a credit card number. They dont put anything on it till the time of the wedding. I had to guarantee 1/2 of what I blocked off. If they dont fill I have to pay for them.

I had to give a credit card number just for my room. I didn't have to do anything for the OOT's rooms.
