For girls who are MARRIED already...

Just wondering how often you look at your pictures and if it was worth spending the extra $$$

Re: For girls who are MARRIED already...

I just got married in Aug so I still look at them all the time. I haven't gotten my album yet but looking forward to it (not for a few months). I know a time will come when I don't look at the pictures as often, especially not the proofs.

I definately think you need to have nice pictures but I don't think you have to break the bank to get them!!

I got married 6 years ago. As far as my album it is sitting in the box collecting dust. I have a few pictures on the wall. Those I look at all the time. I would still get an album, just because down the line I would love to show my kids and then grandkids....So for the future yes it is worth it.

I didn't get my album yet (soon!) but I look at my proofs once in a while.

My video I got the other day & I watch it constantly cause people come everyday to see it!

Every once and awhile but I think it is worth the money in my opinion. You may look at it more right after the wedding but in YEARS from now, you'll want to reminisce and remember.

Pictures are very important to me, so yes, I do look at mine pretty often (maybe not ALL the time, but frequently).

I think it was worth the money for us. We have beautiful enlargements framed on our walls and a great album to look back on. I think it was a good decision to spend the $$ on it.

Re: For girls who are MARRIED already...

I looked at our pictures a lot initially. Since we've gotten the album, I've maybe looked at it once or twice (in 6 months).

I love our video, but I've only seen it once or twice (my mom's has watched her copy 100 times)

I think its worth the money, so you can look back on it one day.

(though I look at our online (scanned) pictures a lot more than the album itself, so maybe you don't need to spend a fortune on the actual album - but everyone's opinion will differ on this)

I have been married over a year and I don't look at my pictures anymore. However, I think they were worth every dime. The once in a blue moon that I do take them out I truly enjoy them.

Re: For girls who are MARRIED already...

Thanks...

It's just so hard to decide. I am trying to decide between 2 photographers. The one photographer has really great pics, a totally different style than you normally see and then the other one is more of a standard, typical shots type of photographer. The 1st one is about $1500 more so I'm trying to decide whether it will be worth it... according to everyone here, you all seem to think so, so that's good...

I think when its all over, you'll be disappointed if you don't go for the photographer you really love.

Re: For girls who are MARRIED already...

I don't have my album yet, so I really can't say. I don't look at my proofs very much at all.

From what I've been told by people who've been married for a while, they watch their video much more than they look at their albums.

But I still think it's nice to have.

Also, just to let you know, the price you sign up for in your contract, is not really the price you end up paying. When everything is said and done, you pay more. You'll want blow ups, or your parents will want them, and then there's your portrait, which you might want bigger than the one that's included, and of course if you upgrade the album.... you get the idea.

Re: For girls who are MARRIED already...

I just got my album this week and have looked at it several times already. The rest of my pictures from the table cameras and friends and family I look at alot. I can't help it.

That's what I'm afraid of kmcwed... If it's already expensive, what is going to happen when I order extra stuff.. I'm confused as to who to pick so what I'm going to do is see both photographers next week and try to decide.

I definitely still look at my photos every so often and my video I have watched quite a few times, I love being able to relive the memories.

Re: For girls who are MARRIED already...

I have asked alot of people this and at first they look alot but then not so much but everyone loves having it to pull out for kids/grand kids! My parents got married 37 years ago and I LOVE looking at their album! I have probably looked at it 50 times in the past few years! However most people I know dont watch their video much if at all! I know one couple that got married 3 years ago and has yet to look at the video.

What I did before booking my photographer was to get a price list of extra photos, then I was able to see how much I thought it would cost us afterwards. Some photographers charge $30 for one 8x10 print while others are only $13 that makes a huge difference! Also adding pictures to your album is more than just add'l prints so get a package that you think has a reasonable amount in the album!

I look at them a lot...I think people hate me talking and showing my pictures all the time, but five months later and I still cant get enough of them.

Right after I got married, I couldnt stop looking at them.
Now that Im married for 2 years, I would say a few times, or if friends and family like to look at them again

Most of the time, I'm going through Post-Wedding Depression so I just dream about that day all over again. It's really hard to believe that it's all over.
