For girls whose FH's are getting tattoo wedding band

my FH wants to get a 40's style pin up girl portrait of me on his leg
i cant explain it lol but i think its so cute!!! i dont know if i would get a band tattooed because it would look weird with my ring, maybe on my other hand i would ?

I have a chinese symbol for love on my lower back right now. Eventually I want to get a little star under it for my FH. And then after every child I'll add another star to represent them.

FH has a big tattoo of his mothers name across his heart. All summer I feel like a jerk because people are like 'Is Rosa your husbands X girlfriend or something.' I'm like 'NO!!! It's his mother.'

i LOOOOOVE this idea.. but i dont think its for me.. i will be getting a tattoo for FH ASAP... he knows i want to.. and he said he would do it too but we both want it in places just for us.. like on my low hip or something ... i really wanted to get dice b/c people always told us that we would never make it.. and we 'beat the odds' so i thought dice represented that well but i dont know

ha ha ha my cousin about 8 or 9 years ago.. tattooed something on her ring finger and its just about totally faded out now.. i dont want that to happen.. and i wont go back for touch ups.

yeah it does fade. well that means he has to go for touch ups knowing him he'd probably want to do that with his other tat's

we're doing this but haven't decided on a specific design. I'm funny about putting names my tattoos but FH is more than welcome to do it for himself..lol. He also is getting a tattoo he said alot of military guys get for their wives (he's an ex Marine) it's two dog tags linked by the chain usually over your heart with the husband's stats in one and the wifes in the other. I love the thought. He has plenty of tats already all of things he loves. His old bomb sniffing dog from the military, his daughter and of course the Yankees so it's only fitting that I join the collage

This is a great thread! So many people are anti-tattoos out there...nice to see some other people like them too!!

I wanted a band too, so badly...but realized all of the things you girls discussed already, a long time ago. So, that put a damper on my plans : (


However, I have a cross tattoo on my right ankle and it's very plain. It has a purple heart in the middle and teal dots on each point of the cross. My plan is to have FH's name tattooed over the top and then the names of my kids around it. The lettering would be on the small side..nothing huge and crazy. I figure that would liven up a tattoo I wanted to add to someday anyway.

I have stars on my right foot and LOVE how tattoos look on feet....I wish there was something I could do there too...hmmm....decisions, decisions lol

okay so today my sister is going to get her husband's name tattooed on her - she doesnt know what to get him for their 10th anniversary and he already has her full name, Concettina, on his ankle and their kids names around his other ankle. . .

she has one tattoo but passed out from the pain of it so he is going to TOTALLY appreciate that she is getting it

I am going to take her and if she doesnt feel sick I am going to get Anthony on my hip, something small and plain - i will add to it later but my sister may pass out if i get too much done in front of her

i didnt want to say anything bc i thought girls would start telling me not to get it

AND

there are so many reasons that i may not be going today - one being the death of a family friend. . . so i dont want to say i am getting it then never get to it

ANYWAY FH is getting a tattoo under his ring - i am not sure what he is getting. . . if i get the tattoo under my ring i want to get His forever. . . which is what i am getting engraved

oh you'll hear alot of comments about it, trust me i have a name tattoo on my back lol. I mean the way i see it were making a commitment to spend the rest of our lives together, thats an even bigger step, hey a tattoo can always be covered up ya know lol but bringing kids together in this world and spending your lives together is a bigger step.

That's a cute idea since your rings will defintely cover that up. FH doesn't have any tats and probably would never get one....here I am with 5 and looking to see what I can add! LOL
