For girls whose FH's just aren't THAT into the wedding...

I just have to say... THERE'S HOPE!!!

Mine wasn't for the first, oh, YEAR AND 5 MONTHS, but over the past three-four weeks, when I've needed him most, there has been a willing participant in my house by the name of JOE!

He's helped me with OOT baskets, run wedding errands with me, COOKED for me (I got breakfast AND dinner yesterday!), helped me with my candy buffet bowls, moved boxes for me, hugged and consoled me when I cried about my uncle, talked excitedly about the wedding and honeymoon, etc.

And he's kept me laughing the whole way, too, which is KEY!!!

I LOVE MY SOON TO BE HUSBAND!!!

Thats great news!!! As of now my FH totally tunes out when I say the word WEDDING. There is not 1 aspect he's interested in. Soooo frustrating!!! Hope he turns out the same way!

Yes! He's HOT, sweet and has a great sense of humor! I couldn't be luckier! (hey... he's pretty lucky, too! lol)

Yes, I hate to sound 'shallow' but looks ARE pretty important

It's awful when they don't participate in something so important to the both of you. I never understood why they go through the trouble of asking, and then spend all this money on something they don't want to have any input on??? Boys are strange. Thank GOD for my wonderful FI, he has been there every single step of the way. He even went to 60 venues with me when I was on the hunt for 'the one' :) Give them time and try to explain to them how important this day is to the BOTH of you...good luck ladies!

I hope so, too!!! mine always said the most important part of the day was the church, which was always sweet. He's not big on being the center of attention, so I think the whole 'party' part was a major cause of anxiety for him. But now he's getting more and more into it and taking a lot of the stress away from me, which is great! We're definitely a great team! It's weird, but the wedding was a test that we passed with flying colors!!! I hope it's the same for you!!!

whoa! 60 halls!!! congratulations on having a very patient FH!!!! I agree with you that boys act strange when it comes to wedding planning....but I have to say you are very lucky!!! it's nice to hear some FI's are more hands on. congrats!

Now that we set a budget and know exactly how much we are contributing and exactly how much my parents are contributing, FH is much more into it.

I think at first he was just thinking 'oh geeze, how much is this thing going to cost us?!'

He's been great, though! I did all the hall research. He made the phone calls for preliminary information / to set up appointments. Now we'll go see them together.

Thank you so much, sweetie. He really is incredible. I know I went overboard with looking at 60 venues but he kept telling me that he wants me to be happy and really did enjoy seeing the smile on my face when we both saw something we liked.
Just called to tell him how much I love and appreciated him :) Thanks for the reminder, girly.

You're welcome! That's why I posted it! If anyone would have told me this story three months ago, I would have doubted my guy would have done this, but he IS!!!

My FH does not get excited at all for any of this wedding planning. stuff Whenever I talk about it I can tell he is not really listening and just kinda pretends to be interested
