For lizlen2003...you have my apologies...
I think that I may have been grossly misunderstood in the other thread, but I just want to make myself clear.
I did not then, nor do I now, mean to sound aggressive in my posts. That is not my MO. The other woman on this board who do know me personally can (and hopefully will) attest. It is not my fault if I get interpreted that way, b/c that is the nature of email and chat boards. In hindsight, maybe I should have used emoticons so that you would have had a better sense of my perspective.
I would like you to know that I did not attack you or your character in my original message. I addressed you specifically in the second to last graph, and I was trying to sympathize with the fact that you were annoyed, but also offer another way to look at the situation, especially since I do know Linda. I never said that you tried to ruin her reputation or that you misrepresented what transpired.
The last paragraph of my post was genuinely meant as a generalization to everyone on the boards, not a personal affront to you. And, you absolutely do have a right to post your feelings or your grievences. How would my post change that? All I was saying was that maybe we all (brides, newlyweds and vendors) need to have more compassion for people in general when we post in a public forum. I don't even know why I felt the need to say it, maybe it's the Mom in me. I did not mean anything more than that. And, if I sounded so mean, I think I would have heard from more of the women here than just you.
I do not think that my posts debate what other women say, and I think that is very unfair for you to say. I have nothing to loose or gain by being a part of this community. I joined it b/c a few women that I am friends with are planning their weddings here. As Becky said, I try to offer help and advice as best as I can. I am not perfect, and if what I wrote was so awful, than I am sorry.
I will do my very best to avoid responding to any of your posts in the future.
Good luck with your planning.
