Can you tell I'm working on my registry tonight! So do I go with the traditional wine glasses?? I'm a white wine drinker (haven't graduated to red yet - unless I use ice cubes ). But I love globlets instead of the traditional smaller white glasses. What to do.....

I love white and got both but I love drinking white from a big glass haha

I'm not a big wine drinker but my family is, and what i do know is that you can put white wine in a goblet but you can't (really shouldn't) put red wine in a white wine (smaller size) glass, it's all about the breathing. So... I say go for the goblets, i like their look better too!

I lucked out with this...I didn't need to add it to my registry b/c my Mom gave me 2 sets of this beautiful crystal...HUGE ones, and more formal ones...8 of each. If I had to add them, I would def get the biggest they have... Otherwise you're getting up to fill the glass up every so often LOL

We were given a decanter and jumbo glass set as a gift, so we have 4 really large glasses, and registered for 4 white in addition. Prior to getting the set, we were registered for 4 red as well. I don't care what glass it's in, as long as it's not half filled LOL.

I added the goblets!!! I dont drink red wine. FH also liked that they were bigger so he said he could pour another drink in it LOL!

I registered for both because I'm getting the Luigi Bormorielo (spelling?) Crescendo ones and they're reasonably priced so I dont feel bad putting them both on.

Okay another question. I'm not registering for China - my mom is giving me a set she has. How many wine glasses do I register for?? I found a really nice lenox pair and then a less formal. 8 & 8?? Why am I so clueless when it comes to this.

I registered for both red and white and my white glasses are about the same size as the red. Check out Waterford...

I registered for 12 of each but we entertain a lot and like I said before, they're reasonably priced.

Your wine glasses should match your place settings, so if you have a set for 12 people than you should have 12 glasses, you want your table to match. If you have a bar area in your home than that number can be whatever.

if you didnt have your shower yet... put it in your MOH's head to have a wine well instead of a wishing well. i did it for my sister and it was a HUGE hit!!

Too funny. I just told my FSIL and my mom about this on sunday!! My mom was like 'well if you have 50 people that's 50 bottles of wine'. I don't know where the problem is there! Plus not everyone gets you something for the wishing well.

We are big wine drinkers! I would get get both types of wine glasses, but get the inexpensive ones. Reidel is the best quality wine glass. They run about 45 dollars a pair. Definitely put those on your registry just to use on special occasions.
