For my Land's End brides, my (not so) little Review (here you go Jen)

I went to FH's cousin's wedding there this past Sunday night, it was beautiful!!!! We actually got there about 45 min. early (we had to bring FH's cousin her dog so he could walk down the aisle ) and the bartenders were ready for us and started giving us drinks ! About 15 minutes before the ceremony started waiters started walking around with chapaigne & blueberries (delicious I had about 4 prior to the ceremony )and pelligrino type water (I passed on the water ). It was nice enough out that they could have the ceremony outside. The view was perfect, they got married right in the gazebo with the water in the background.

A question for the girls getting married there, just curious but is another entrance to get to the CH without having to walk through the reception room?

Onto CH...the food at the cocktail hour was DELICIOUS!!!! The waiters just kept coming around with neverending plates and plates of horduerves...the coconut shrimp was my favorite!!!! The weather was so perfect that everyone more of less stayed outdoors which leads me to one little negative. The food displays were outside and inside and everyone mainly stayed outside to enjoy the weather that so many people didn't realize there was any food inside. I'm always curious so I just walk around investigating that's how I found the food inside. In my opinion they missed out on some of the best stuff...mussels marinara, the pasta station, raw vegetables, tomatoes and water mozzarella and alot more. Out of all of the cocktail hour displayed food I'll have to say my favorites were the mussels marinara, pene ala vodka and ok don't laugh...the creamed spinach lol I seriously went back for seconds an thirds of it!!!

Ok now on to the reception...something small but really stood out. I loved how they have the spotlights on the ceiling that they can shine on every single centerpiece, I can't even tell you how good that looked and it really brought out all the centerpieces and bright colors she had. FH's cousin decided on an intermezzo (sp?) appetizer and salad mix. The salad was wrapped up in a very thinly sliced cucumber which I thought was pretty cool with great dressing (I'm a sucker for a salad ). Believe it or not I don't remember what the appetizer was Ahhhh and for dinner Lobster and Shrimp Crepe to absolutely die for. I was so stuffed from cocktail hour but I HAD to finish every bite! FH ordered the Filet Minon and he made me taste it...his exact words to me were 'now this is what a steak should taste like'. I liked it which says alot because when I make an attempt to eat steak I usually just end up chewing and chewing then spitting it out because I feel like I can't swallow it but this was so soft and cooked perfectly it practically melted in my mouth. Everything was served with Asparagus and tomatoes which are my favoritest!!! There was no VH but there was cofee/tea and cordial trays going around. But by the time desert came around I don't think I could have fit all but a sprinkle in my mouth soooo I opted for a delicious chocolate chip canoli Ok it might sound silly but it bothered me that the outside shell was mushy and not crispy...it just gave me a visual of them being made and laying around all day but the inside filling was really delicious so of course I devoured it. I heard the cheesecake was really delicious too.

The service from everyone was great, if we asked something from anyone of the waitstaff they were quick to come back and bring whatever it was to us. Nobody even complained or showed any sign of rudeness when FH's sister got so wasted that she dropped her first glass on the dancefloor and they had to clean it up...then her second glass...then LASTLY her third glass (she was cut off after that one she was a mess lol).

I'm sure I'm forgetting some things but if anyone has any specific questions about anything just ask me!!!!

I'm waiting on pics from FH's siter and also when I get a link to the pro-pictures I'll definitely post some!!!!

Thank you Melissa!!!!!!

Good call on the indoor/outdoor CH!!! I will be sure to tell my BP to let everyone know there's food inside!!!!!

There is a way to get to CH that isn't through the reception room. That's weird.. In fact, it's the only way I know. You walk right in and the reception room is to your left behind closed doors - the CH is the rest of the building.. Interesting.

I cannot wait to see pictures Melissa, thank you for an awesome, thorough review!!!
