are you ladies glad you know the sex of the baby? how has it changed your preparation in relation to other expecting mommies? what made you want to find out?
i am sure you know what I am getting at! Our 20 week u/s is in early Sept., and I am considering changing my mind about not finding out. It's not really that I am that curious...but I really want to choose things that work as far as the nursery, blankets, my accessories, etc.
I found this great sale today on onesies - 3 for $10 and couldn't choose because they were either ribbed with pink bunnies or blue boats!

Re: for neda and stacy
I really have to say before I was pregnant I was very anti finding out! But.....now that I know I am so happy!!! I received at my shower all boy clothes and I also was able to get personalized things for him too! My Mom had a toy box made and filled it with books and clothes! I will still be surprised because I don't know his exact date of arrival or what he looks like. I also really wanted a boy and needed to prepare myself if it was going to be a girl. (no offense, I just can't see myself with a girl) My hubby also wanted to know and because I was so sick in the beginning and he was amazing in taking care of me I did it for him too! I have not regretted my decision for even a single minute I hope that helped

Re: for neda and stacy--LONG
From the beginning I really did not want to find out--but DH wanted to find out. I thought to myself why find out--it will spoil the surprise. What made me change my mind is that it will still be a huge surprise because: 1. We don't know what the baby will look like 2..We don't know when the baby is coming 3. Everthing will be new to us since it is our first baby, so it doesn't spoil anything 4. Nothing is for certain, even ultrasounds can be wrong (and have been wrong many times in the past) 5. Most of all, it doens't matter if its a boy or a girl, just as long as the baby is healthy
Finding out did not change the way we decorated the room, because we are not 100% sure its a girl, until she/he comes out! We didn't want gender specific things anyway, so we are sticking with neutral colors (yellow, sage and white). We haven't bought a lot of girls clothes (dresses, etc) but that can wait until the baby comes anyway, since she will not be wearing a dress out of the hospital!!
Sorry its long, but I hope that answered your question.
