I got them about 1month or 2 ago. Im told to dispose after 2wks. So far thats what I am doing but I hear that u can stretch the two wk period out.
So, for those who wear them...do you actually follow the instructions?

Re: For People who wear disposable contact lenses?
this time of year I am pretty good about it. I get 'allergy eyes' ,and it is worse if I overwear my contacts. I am a little lasy in the winter time though

I stretch to 3 weeks but clean every night with Mira Flow cleaner and leave them sitting overnight in a multipurpose saline.
ETA: My eye doctor said 3 weeks is fine, but any longer starts compromising your sight as they get a buildup of film.

I do sometimes stretch it out, but usually unintentionally b/c I forget which day I out them in the first time. I find that my eyes become drier as the weeks go by and the eye doc told me that the lenses may deteriorate some after the two week period and may not be as clear as a new pair. I have had no problems other than that. I do take them out and clean them every night.

THe longest I went was a month (appx) but that was because it was my last pair. I usually stretch it to three weeks as long as they aren't bothering me.

I used to--lately I have gotten reeally bad.
I am on my last pair, so I have stretched this set & the last ones out. I really need to go to the optomotrist. They start to get dry & blurry if you stretch them out.

I wear them until they start feeling uncomfortable.

I think it also depends if you sleep in them. If you take them out every night you should be able to get at least 3 weeks out of them.

I actually have fallen asleep with them...like a nap and when i open my eyes..its terrible! They are dry and it takes a 1/2hr for them to adjust. I take them out every nite!

That is the key to stretching out the wear-time. Def do not sleep in your lenses. Too much build-up accumulates on them & they becoem uncomfortable, not to mention puts you at risk for an infection

I don't sleep with them on...I use to dispose of them every 2 weeks...Lately I have been lazy...I went 1 1/2 months without changing them...Now I wear them til they start to bother & then I change them

My sister is a optometrist and tells me not to stretch this out, 2 weeks and throw away.

Re: For People who wear disposable contact lenses?
i wear them for about a month, sometimes 6 weeks. I confessed this to the eye doctor, and he said as long as I am resting and oxygenating my eyes at night, it shouldn't end tragically.
