For Sunday Brides

What time is your ceremony and reception starting and ending? My reception will be over at 1am, I'm worried it's going to be too late for a Sunday but I can't change it now

my church will be at 3:00 or 3:30
Reception will be 5:30-10:30 or 6:00-11:00

Haven't decided on what we definitely want to do yet. FFIL is a pastor so of course the wedding will be in his church and we can basically make the church whatever time we want!

Haven't booked officially but the place we are leaning towards has the option of 3pm-930 pm or 4pm-1030 pm. I am debating between the two.

I feel that many of your close friends may take the monday off since they'll have ample notice? Some people may leave early but many will probably be having too much fun

Re: For Sunday Brides

Church is at 4:30 (it's the day they do baptisms, so that's the earliest) My reception is from 6:30pm-12:00am.

If I added a Viennese , I would not add an extra hour.

I'm still going to encourage people to take off the next day and stay over

I think you should just notify people ahead of time and if they can take off the next day then they will stay later.

or

maybe you can ask the hall (especially maybe if no one else booked yet) if it is possible to make the time a little earlier. Chances are the wedding before you will probably end by 5pm anyway. That was usually the ending time they gave us when we were looking for Sunday AM

If you start the reception a 6 (including CH) then you will be done by 11pm.

don't worry ... people will come and stay and have an amazing time ... granted, some people will leave a bit earlier, but the ones that care about you will stay.

Think we are going to go with a 2pm start time ending at 8pm (this includes ceremony at the same place).

My ceremony is at 730 pm and reception is over at 2am and I dont think its a big deal. I love evening weddings.

I'm getting married on a Sunday at 11:30. The reception is over at 5:00. Isn't your weekend Memorial Day weekend? People will probably have off on Monday so you won't have to worry about it ending late.

Re: For Sunday Brides

thanks for the feedback, everyone. I just second-guess myself and worry too much about what other people will think. *sigh* I make myself crazy lol
It is Memorial Day weekend, so I'll try my best to focus on that positive fact

Re: For Sunday Brides

MIne ends at 12:30 - it does happen to be the sunday before columbus day so SOME people will have off on Monday BUT a lot of people won't- my job doesn't give us off so a lot of my friends will have work the next day - but it's true that a lot of people will take off Monday if they're really excited about yout wedding, so talk about how great it will be and how they have to stay until the end! haha

And for memorial day - I especially wouldn't be worried - almost everyone is off on memorial day so people will treat it like a saturday!

Ours ends at midnight also. I think it's very acceptable.
