so my online professor told us to write a 10 page paper
I have 8 really good pages. I feel like my paper is very thorough and covers everything he asked
Do I send it in as is?
Do I send the prof an email asking him if it is ok?
or do I B.S. and add 2 more pages?
I really don't want to fill the paper with b.s. and fillers
ugh, I don't know what to do...I've been out of school for so long

Re: ? for teachers and grad school girls
yup 12 inch, 1 in margins
no footnotes its APA style
I will settle for a B...I need a minimum of a B to stay in the program

Re: ? for teachers and grad school girls
To be honest... I teach college and if a student sent me a paper under the minimum required number of pages, I would probably take off credit right away (and I'm considered an easy grader...or so I hear lol). Go through the paper and see where you can add more source quotes...not b.s....research papers are supposed to include quotes and block quotes. If you do that, I'll bet you can get the the 10 required pages easily.

Re: ? for teachers and grad school girls
although he requested APA style...my particular paper is not a research paper, so it's really hard for me to put quotes in there ughhhh
everyone had a different topic, approach to the final paper
my paper was to design a clinic and new medicaid program
anyway...thanks for the advice..I will try to find some type of quote to put in there

Not sure if you already did- but, maybe you can include some potential critques of the clinic and medicaid program and why those critiques are not justified and then conclude... I'm not sure if I'm making any sense...lol

Re: ? for teachers and grad school girls
I would say definatly try to fill in the last 2 pages... whenever I had a paper to do the professors were always very strict about thier minimum page limit.... They dont really care if you go over, but go under and they deducted points....

Re: ? for teachers and grad school girls
DO NOT bs two pages. I am a teacher, but i've been told many times throughout school not to do that. worst comes to worst youtube on how to make your periods at the end of sentence bigger. you can NOT notice it, and it works perfectly!! will add some length on

Re: ? for teachers and grad school girls
usually when professors mean X number of pages, they mean exactly that, it's not worth loosing points for not having the number of pages he asked, so what would I do? fluff it up
edit for spelling

Awww, Jenni! LOL, I feel your pain, I'm so glad I'm done with all this.
Did you take Cat's suggestions about adding in some potential nay-sayer critiques on your program and then answering those critiques with solutions? I think 2 would be sufficient to give you 2 more pages, right?

Re: ? for teachers and grad school girls
it was due tomorrow but he extended the deadline to the 12th, id like to have it done sooner rather than later so i can breath
i added some bs here and there, still only gave me a few more lines
gave me a full 8 rather than a skimpy 8
how will i get 2 more pages! i even showed a friend of mine who is a PA and she was like ummm i dont know what else to add either!

Re: ? for teachers and grad school girls
no program is perfect -- think of a few possible downsides to it and try to explain them away? or think of alternatives for whatever the downside is?
or!! can you do something with goals? where the program should be in 5 years, what should be reevaluated at that time, what would be considered a success...
