For the brides who made their own invites

For the brides who made their own invites

I’m very interested in the pocketfold invites with a ribbon tie (maybe a little charm).

I’m just curious how you actually printed the invite? Did you get them done and just put everything together on your own or did you just print from your computer. I’m pretty creative when it comes to designing things but I really want my invite to have that raised letter feel (thermography???).

Is it possible to just order the cards/invites to put in the pocket folds.

Also this may have been asked before, but where did you get your pocket folds from?

Thanks!!

I got my pocketfolds from Cardsandpockets.com, they were great, speedy and fabulous customer service. I too would like to have the thermongraphy, but think I am resigned to just doing the whole thing on my computer at home. I would think you might be able to bring a CD to a printer (staples, kinkos? not sure if they do it) and have them print it out for you.

I'm printing at home, on regular white cardstock. Our pocketfolds from Envelopments are metallic burgundy, so the white worked better for us. The thermography is nice, but I don't think people will notice. I have 4 inserts that all fit on one sheet of paper, and the invite and backing take their own sheet, so it's 300 sheets (under 2 reams) for 150 invites, I only need about 120, and the rest I will use for the thank you's, programs, menus, etc.

You can order any inserts custom cut that you want from Envelopments, they'll do as much or as little as you want.

I got everything printed at MyGatsby.com....I used thermography. Of course there are other vendors that will do them for you for maybe cheaper, but they won't use thermography....Feel free to look in my album and FM me if you need any further details.

wow I just checked out your invites and they came out awesome...

do you think it was cheaper to do it this way or was it just for the personalization?

I got the pocketfolds from www.cardsandpockets.com and I designed the actual invite and inserts and had them printed professionally... we didn't get the raised printing though because it was way too expensive, so if we had a laser printer, I would have printed them myself.

I bought my pockets from invitesbyyou.com I printed my own invites from word & we cut them to fit on top of aqua card stock (previously cut by invitesbyyou.com) I had to use rubber cement to adhere the card stock to the pocket, nothing else would hold. FM me for templates and details. HTH
