? for the BTDT Mommies re: Whole Milk Intro.

My ped says we can now introduce whole milk. He suggested we do it in one ounce increments mixed in with the formula. Increased every few days, barring no reactions.

Silly question -- since I make the bottles in advance, should I mix the milk in as I make them or add it just before I feed the babies. I guess I'm worried about milk sitting in the formula and contaminating it in some way? Am I paranoid?

What did you do??

We put it in as we made the bottle. Only b/c we made bottles as he wanted them not in advance.
I dont think you're paranoid, Better safe than sorry!!

I think I would add the milk when the baby is ready to have the bottle.
How old is your babY? One friend of mine started at 10m, but all I hear is the one year old mark. Just wanted to see if anyone else was told prior to a year.

Thanks, I'll probably just add it as I'm ready to feed. Better safe!

My boys are 9 months. I thought it sounded early, but I know of others who have done it between 8 and 10.
