for the girls 'on the fence' about a candy buffet

i went away this weekend to celebrate new years. dh and i went away with his friends. everyone who was at the 'getaway' was at our wedding. while we were there, hanging out, one of his buddies (who was a gm) mentioned our wedding.

he went ON AND ON about how he LOVED the 'CANDY TABLE'!!! he said it was the greatest thing he had ever seen.

this sparked others to mention how much the loved the candy we provided.

you can imagine how happy and proud of myself i was ALL WEEKEND!!!!

so, if you're thinking about it... here's an anecdotal reason to 'GO FOR IT'

I'm going to put the guest book, pics, candles, and maybe some flowers on the candy buffet in the reception. I was thinking of also putting the card box on this table because i want to make sure people sign the guest book, but it may be tacky so i'm not sure.

i had my doc set it up by the door (there was a foyer) at about 830pm. this way people would be sure to see it on their way out. but many of our guests saw the table as they were walking around, so many of them snacked on the candy for the last hour/hour and a half of the reception.
