For the guys out there....

Has anyone used a product that is supposed to promote hair growth for men losing their hair in the front?

My cousin feels self-conscious he is losing hair up front and wants to look into products that either prevent further hair loss or promotes additional growth. I have heard that Propecia, Rogain, etc. is only for men losing hair in the back and doesn't work up front. Any recommendations?
