For the ladies with FHs/DHs that play games all day...

Ladies....Has your fiance or husband been playing that video game ALL day? When you tell him to get off, you're sure to get an excuse. 'Wait....I just have to....' So, how long is it really going to take for him to get off? Here's some common excuses and the approximate time it will take him to get off his butt.

'I just have to kill this guy.' = 5-10 minutes
'I just have to go to town quick.' = 10-15 minutes
'I just have to finish this quest/mission.'(the most vague excuse) = 30 minutes-2 hours
'I just have to hand this quest in.' = 15-30 minutes
'I just want to finish this level.' = 10-40 minutes
'I need to help my friend finish something.' =30 minutes-1 hour
'I just have to talk to this guy.' =5-15 minutes
'I have to kill this boss' (boss being key word) =25-40 minutes
'I just have to find this item' =10-20 minutes
'I need to get to a save point.' =10-40 minutes


Excuses that don't give you an approximate time. Sorry ladies, but if you hear these, you're in for a LONG wait:

'But, I just got in this group.'
'Oh man, I was in the middle of something.'
'I just need to finish this.'
'I can't log out here.'
'But I only have (X-amount) more experience until the next level.'
'I just want to test this new skill.'
'I'm waiting for a rare item to drop/ searching for a rare item'
'I just have to travel to (such and such) town on the (so and so) continent'
'I'm just waiting for somebody to resurrect me/I have to go retrieve my body.'
'I just have to catch this boat/plane/train/dragon/ other various form of transportation.'

If you get the following actions in response, you might as well just give up:

An eye roll
A sigh
Muttering under the breath
A 'tsk'
A slamming of the fist
A controller, mouse, or keyboard being thrown
Complete and utter silence
Your man completely ignoring you and giving no reaction to you whatsoever (this is the WORST one)

Especially the last one... when it's like that they are comatose for at least a few minutes and maybe will give you an excuse later.

As I was reading this to my DH I got the 'Tsk' once and then:

'Your man completely ignoring you and giving no reaction to you whatsoever (this is the WORST one)'

When they get in that comatose state it can be a little freaky. You ask them a question and you walk around and start doing chores and they either answer you or go 'huh?' 10 minutes later.

Even my DH admitted these are all true!! His most common one is 'I just have to get to a save spot.' Or the completely comatose state.
