We upgrade the beer, we already had the Viennese tables ( worth it). I think that was it.

I'm still around!!!
It was what made the party absolutely awesome. You have no idea how much people loved it. Even the old people were in the booth!

our only real upgrade/splurge was uplighting, and we loved it. As the sun went down, it completely changed the feel of the room

Our VH was absolutely ridiculous. It wasn't really an upgrade per se, since we did the upgraded menu for the entire day but it's been 8 months and people are still talking about the food at our wedding.

We added a cigar roller during the last hour or so of the reception. It was a huge hit!
We also had slipper and pashmina baskets. I'm glad we did those, but if I had it to do over again, I'd have set it up differently. The baskets were on tables that the guests walked past to get into the ballroom and it turned into a free for all. People were loading up on them to bring home to friends and relatives who weren't even invited! I was told that it was worse than sale day at Loehmann's. So, it may have been better to have had somebody go around and offer ONE to each female guest or put them out a little later and have somebody man the table to make sure it didn't get out of control.
We also upgraded the menu to surf & turf as one of the entree options. The guests enjoyed that and it was something a little different from the seafood station during CH, which had been done at some of the other weddings a number of the guests had attended that same summer.

crashing but i thought maybe i could help
food wise..we added the mashed potato bar and a chuck wagon to ch and they were a hit
for the recption we added a candy buffet which was gone n 2 seconds and a ice cream sundae bar which looked great but not too many people ate it..it was out with the cake and everyone was way too drunk
we also did the slipper baskets which i can say at least 10 people came up to u and thanked us and one girl broke her heel and was so happy to have something to put on
we also did the bathroom basket and i know stuff was used in it so i guess that worked lol
but by far the best money we spent was the photobooth...every single person went in and loved it..didnt keep people from dancing at all and people still say to us wat a cool idea it was and how they loved it

We really didn't do any upgrades and I don't regret that part, but I'm definitely happy that I booked a DOC, it definitely eased my mind on the day of

I did the v-hour and it was totally worth every penny...I would say to add that!
I also added a percussionist and he was fantastic...

added the vh 2 weeks before the wedding my mom decided she wanted it and they paid for it everyone loved it. all i remember is we got to see the spread first and i turned around and all of our guests came rushing in the room it was crazy but i am so glad we got it.
