Every time someone finds out I'm getting married (through conversation or whatever) they will ask how old I am!!! It's REALLY annoying because I know that what's going through their head is I look 16 or 17 when I'm really 23, OR I look 23 and they think that's too young to be married

I just find it really annoying and actually very rude. I'd just like to be able to bring up my wedding...at work... at a store shopping for HM clothing... without the person saying 'if you don't mind me asking, how old are you?'

Seriously, next time I'm going to say, 'I'm 23, and yourself?' Ugh

i know how feel !!! i'm 23 also and people think i'm like 17 lol.. it used to annoy me, but i reassure myself cos when i'm 60 at least i wont look like it (i hope!) :)

OH and we have some EX family friends who are haters and spread gossip about me and my family (i hate the filipino networks and gossip crew) and even say, 'What is she doing?? She's too young to get married?!?' How about S T F U, i'm a working professional 2 years out of college along with my FH.. i'm getting myself established and am quite responsible.. of course im old enough to get married.. these people have nothing better to do with themselves

i am 23, will be 24 when we get married. FH and i have been together almost 6 years, so we havent really gotten the 'you're too young' thing from anyone

I kno what you mean. I am 27!! and people think I am about 17 or 18 and they always say stuff. I am like I am old!! I am 27!!!

well.. in my culture, some people who know my age ask me why i decided to wait so long!! i just turned 26 W T F?? but i look young b/c i'm petite.. and people at work ask me if my parents are forcing me to get married at such a young age!! what do you tell people who are so friggin ignorant!!!

I get that ALL the time!!! I'm 24, will be 25 when I get married. But I still get Id's to buy scratch offs! Whenever someone new, whether its a hair person or at a store, they say I'm such a baby, that I should wait.. Thanks, who are you to give me your opinion

I am 23 as well and it happens to me all the time!....the place where i get hounded the most is in the NAIL SALON!!!!!!!!!!...It drives me nuts!!..WOw you only look like your 18 and your getting married..im like actually I am 23 and YES I AM!!!

FH and I went to finish our registry the other day and this lovely woman in the towel department asked if we needed any help finding anything. I said no we're just looking (with scanning gun in hand). Then she asked are you getting ready to go back to school? I said no we're getting ready to get married.
FH was laughing so hard he had to walk away so as to not laugh in this woman's face.

I get this alllll the time. I usually get told I look 16 or 17...hello....29 this year! When my little sis and I go do wedding things people automatically start to talk to her assuming she's the bride, or if they ask first they don't believe my answer lol. I'm cool with it though and everytime I get carded I smile..in a few years i'll be so glad for my baby face

This annoys me to NO END. I'm 23...was 22 when I got engaged...and get cr@p from so many people I don't even know.

I may just steal your line when someone asks me how old I am next time...its quite clever!

im 26 but i look 16.. 18 on a GOOD day...

i get teh oh you are done with school what college are you goign to... (bc i took a little over a month off form work to finish) and im like im done...

and again they say yeah so waht college are you goign to... then i reply im not.. i have my masters?!

sigh, i was getting my nails done and the guy asks me how old I was since he saw my e-ring and I said 25 and he said NO you're 16 and I was like no I'm 25... I think its a really weird compliment

that is exactly what my mom tells me...that i will look like her when I am her age (she is 50 and doesn't really look over 40 maybe 45) and she has 6 kids haha. Everyone tells her she looks too young to have that many

But I am 22 (turn 23 in Oct) and everyone and their mother tells me I look to young to get married or why am I getting married so young, or that I look 16 or 17

I get this all the time, too. I just turned 28 and everyone thinks I look like 18 (IF that!). Even my boss told me right before my birthday that he thought I was like 21! UCK it annoys me to no end, and then I can literally say their next line for them, 'Oh well you'll appreciate it in a few years.' BLAH! I don't appreciate it now, though LOL!

i hear you!!!! I swear my sister looks older than me and she's 19 lol. I always have to listen to oh you look so young, you're getting married?Ahhhh yes I'm getting married. I hope it will be good when I'm older but it's so hard to walk into the bars and be the only one who gets carded. I'm 24 people!!!!

I know exactly how you feel!! I am 20 but look like I am 16, and when people ask they always say 'your just a baby' it really gets on my nerves

I am 26 and I constantly am told I look like Im 18. Its soooooo annoying. Me and FH go anywhere and I am constantly getting ID'd. Its not like I dress like a kid either grrrr
