I think she's an amazing hair and makeup artist (based on the pics I've seen), but the quote she gave me for the day of was a little bit HIGH.
I'm just curious as to what she quoted other people. So if you are using her please post or fm me how much it's costing you. I'm just wondering if her price is negotiable.
TIA

ITA with you...when I was shopping around for a makeup artist/hairstylist I was quoted $150 for a trial. I emailed her and told her that I wasn't able to quite swing that amount and would she negotiate the price and was told that that is the price. This was in April....so it was $150 for a trial and $300 for the day of. Since then she has gone up in price- I hear it is $200 per trial and $350 for the day of now She does beautiful work but is definitely pricey.

I was quoted the same, and even though I told her I had 10 bridesmaids, a matron AND maid of honor, a madrina, jr bridesmaid AND 3 flowergirls, her prices didn't change at all... I did however get EXCELLENT quotes and discounts from a few others, who even normally charge for a trial, offer me a free trial due to the size of my party AND the fact that I'M PAYING FOR EVERYONE.. Once in a lifetime or not.. If it's out of my budget, I can't do it.. My RH alone is costing us an arm and a leg due to the 250+ people we have attending.. As us 'latinas' say.. No me puedo tirar el peo mas arriba del culo.. Just keeping it real... LOL

I'm not using her... the price is ok if thats what you're willing to spend. I know its a once in a lifetime opportunity, but there are PLENTY of makeup artists/hair stylists out there who do JUST as good work who are probably cheaper. I know the girl I'm planning on having at mine is doing my sisters wedding next year and the price is def alot less than that... i mean if you feel its really worth it than go for it, but i know there is cheaper out there. its really up to you and your budget. good luck.

I haven't chosen yet, I have one more trial next week and then one of the ladies here told me about her stylist who does free trials so I'm going to call her as well.

for girls who used her, did you get any contract in writing or anything or did you just give her a check to hold the date? i haven't gotten any contract or anything like that and i was wondering if that was the norm. thanks!

I am using her for my wedding this Saturday. I just gave her a check to hold the date, no contract, just some forms to fill out.
Her assistant called me a couple days ago to confirm everything.

Dont know THE STYLIST BUT i do know she is popular bc of this site..a lot of girls use her, good recc etc I would suggest going to alessr known person for a better price if the cost is too much..I mean Im sure shes great but many people are and they dont charge as much bc they dont have the 'name' yet.
