My garter was given to me by my MIL and it was my something blue.

I did the garter toos and didn't wear my garter until about five minutes before we did it. I put the garter on the morning of the wedding and it was sooo annoying. It kept falling down. At one point I had it up so high to just keep it from falling that it was so uncomfortable I took it off. When it came time for the garter removal, I went to sit down in the chair and realized, I didn't have it on. I jumped out of the chair and told my mom to run and get it and I quickly slipped it on. The DJ stalled for a little bit!! I was so embarressed. Thank god I remembered or my poor DH would have been up my dress for a long time looking for something that wasn't there!!

I was planning on it being my something blue too. Next question, where does one get a blue garter? I'm in the city so any city locations or websites would be appreciated.

Shell - i think wherever you will find a garter you will find a blue one - that's a common color for them - (I think the manufacturers are used to it being used a lot for something blue) - You can get a garter at places like Party City, lingerie stores, etc.

we did the garter toss and that was it, we did not have the guy & girl put the garter on who caught the boo-k.
