well.....it would've been the $500 cappucino maker that FH snuck on the registry, but that was quickly removed lol!!! We're not done registering, so my guess will be either pots & pans or luggage. When we moved I didn't buy any new pots b/c I knew that ONE day he'd finally propose!! and 10 months after we moved into the new place, he did!!! good thing, since I really hate my pots & pans!!! lmao!!

We haven't finished registering yet, but I would imagine the vaccuum will be the most expensive.

We live together so we already have a lot of stuff but the most expensive stuff we registered so far for are a pots and pans set, a knife set, our bedding, and china.

I didn't register at all.

Now this is not a judgment on other brides who opt to have a bridal shower anyway... my situation is a little unique. We own a home, we have lived together for 6 years. We don't NEED anything to start our new lives and I felt like a creep registering for stuff that I just merely WANTED. I asked my MOH not to have a bridal shower for me since I already had 2 big baby showers.

I wouldn't begrudge any bride her shower and I think you should register for ANYTHING and EVERYTHING your heart desires. But for ME - because I am a little bit of a weirdo - registering would have made me feel guilty and greedy.

probably the $300 KitchenAid .. I felt so guilty putting expensive things on there ... it kinda was weird ...

I too felt a wee bit guilty, and then I was reminded that the things we have now were either mine from my first apt, or his from his first apt. In other words, nothing was 'ours'.

That being said, most expensive was probably china, crystal and Kitchen Aid.

I put a 400 dollar Kitchen Aid Mixer, the best one they sold, and also the 900 dollar Calphalon pots and pans set, but i feel like we will have these things for a long time

I'm not sure - probably the $300 KitchenAid - but our bedding was expensive, too.

To be honest, as long as you have all different price ranges on your registry, you'll be fine. I don't think it's rude to have something expensive on there. If people cannot afford it, they won't buy it for you. There's no reason to feel guilty - unless you've only registered for $300 and up items when you know most of your guests could never afford that. Besides that, some people may just go in together to get you the more expensive things on your registry.

We only registered for nice things and things we needed/wanted. We saw no point in registering for crap we didn't want or need. We know we may not get everything on the registry, so we plan to finish it off ourselves slowly after the wedding.

We have a lot of expensive stuff on there - crystal, china, luggage (when we pick it out), the KitchenAid, a wine refrigerator, good silver, etc. But we also have lots of moderately-priced things and lots of less expensive things, too.

My China

Our luggage was. The set I had was falling apart so we really needed new luggage. My aunts/cousins all chipped in and gave it to me at the shower.

We also registered for a new vacuum. We had one but, I wanted one that was easiert o carry up and down stairs.

We also registered for china, crystal and flatware.

I'd lived in an apartment for 7 years before I lived with DH. We were using most of my old stuff, and a lot of it needed to be replaced.

China & Crystal were the most expensive things on the registry.

I felt that not registering would have been more of a problem because for the most part, people like getting you stuff. Not registering might have been taken the wrong way - like we wanted money. We had plenty of inexpensive things on our registry and we got a lot of stuff.
